What type of IPL Machine Do you use?

At Lavish Face and Body, we only use the highest tech, medical equipment that has

Do I need to have a consultation prior to having my treatment?

Yes prior to having your treatment a thorough consultation is performed. A test patch is
done on the area being treated. You must wait for 24 hrs before having the treatment fully
completed.

What do I need to do to prepare for my IPL Hair Removal Treatment?

Before your appointment, we ask that you Shave the area between 24 hours before your
treatment. Avoid chemical peels or laser resurfacing Exfoliate to remove any dead skin build-up. Ensure no residue such as fake tan, moisturizers, perfumes, or oils are left present on the skin. Avoid excessive sun exposure on the area being treated two weeks prior (including solariums or tanning drugs) Do not wax or pluck hairs during your course of IPL treatments.

How often do I need to get IPL Hair Removal?

Depending on the area being treated, you will usually require treatments at 2–4-6 week intervals. Each part of the body has a different hair growth cycle, so the hair loss will vary depending on what phase your follicles are in at the time of treatment. However, at least 10 treatments are required for a permanent result.
 

Does IPL Hair Removal hurt?

IPL hair removal is pretty much painless, especially compared to waxing. Each pulse lasts less than second, producing a slight tingling feeling. In particularly sensitive areas, such as the upper lip or xxx bikini it may feel like a rubber band snap on the skin. Our advanced cooling systems in the machine and cooling conducting gel cools your skin before, during, and post-treatment to minimise any discomfort.

After I have my treatment what do I need to do or avoid?

You will need to avoid hot Spas, pools, sun exposure, heat, vigorous exercise (gym work-out), exfoliating products, and heavy creams or oils on the areas for at least 24 hrs after your treatment.

Apply only an aloe vera gel is best recommended after a treatment to clam the area.

Clients are highly advised and must be totally committed to always wearing SPF protection prior and post-treatment to ensure safe treatment and prevent further skin damage from UV exposure.
